About Robyn J. de Ridder
Born in February 1987 in Shepparton, Victoria, Robyn has always had a fascination with cameras and all things art. She completed her VCE at Viewbank College in 2004. In 2005 she was accepted into the Photographic Imaging College, PIC located in Hawthorn, Melbourne. Her first exhibition with PIC was in 2005 at the Glen Eira City Council Gallery, where she exhibited two pieces ("Blue Eyes" and "Black Skies", sold).
In 2006, the second year students at PIC held an exhibition at FAD Gallery in Melbourne's CBD. Three pieces were exhibited by Robyn in this exhibition ("Out of the Darkness", "Am I Perfect?" and "Untitled").
At the end of 2006 she had her last exibition with PIC at Glen Eira City Council Gallery, where she exhibited "Blue Skies, White Clouds" and "One Day, One City"(Polaroids)
Robyn can often been seen in the city of Melbourne out in the streets taking Photos of buildings. She has a strong attraction to the lines, shapes, shadows and colours of the Architectural structures located in Melbourne. Her areas in photography include:
Some of her Favourite photographers and Artists include: Duane Michals, Bob Carlos Clarke, Man Ray, Connie Imboden, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and many more. Robyn Mainly works in digital but she loves Developing her own Black and White prints in the Darkroom.
